A prototyping studio that treats code, hardware, and molecules with the same respect.

Nadchodzi4 is a small, opinionated practice building physical product prototypes, point-of-sale systems, and the long, careful work of peptide stability research. We ship things that have to survive the real world — counter surfaces, cold-chain logistics, and laboratory timelines measured in months.

The Studio

Started at a workbench, not a whiteboard.

Nadchodzi4 was founded in 2018 by two engineers who had grown tired of agencies that produced beautiful decks and unbuildable hardware. The first contract was a single POS enclosure for a coffee roaster in Gdańsk — twelve units, eight weeks, no room for tolerances wider than half a millimetre. The project shipped on time, the roaster is still a client, and the studio's operating philosophy has not changed since.

Six years later, we are a team of seven working across three disciplines that almost never share a roof: rapid prototyping for physical products, POS system design and integration, and peptide stability research for biotech and cosmeceutical clients. The thread connecting them is a refusal to separate engineering from aesthetics, and a habit of measuring success in shipping dates rather than mood boards.

Our work is documented openly in the studio journal, and our process is the same whether we are assembling a kiosk in a kitchen or calibrating a HPLC in a partner lab: read carefully, build quickly, test honestly, and never let a deadline push a tolerance past the point where it stops being a number.

Mission & Values

Three disciplines, one working principle.

We do not believe a product is finished when it is impressive in a meeting. It is finished when it has been built, broken, repaired, and shipped — ideally more than once. Every engagement at Nadchodzi4 is anchored by the same three commitments.

Build, don't simulate

A CAD render and a 3D-printed part are not the same artefact. We run every prototype on real hardware, on real counters, and against real users before a single cent of production is committed. If a part cannot survive a drop test, an espresso splash, or a Friday rush, it goes back to the bench.

Patience over urgency

Peptide formulations do not care about your sprint demo. POS deployments do not care about your quarterly OKRs. We schedule the boring weeks — calibration runs, burn-in cycles, signal-margin testing — before we schedule the exciting ones, because the boring weeks are the work.

Document everything

Every project leaves the studio with a written build log, a parts manifest, and a calibration record. Clients inherit a system they can service, repair, and extend without us. Most of our long-running relationships started when an internal team used one of our manuals to fix something at 2am.

Methodology

How a project actually moves through the studio.

The same five-stage sequence has governed every engagement since 2019. We publish the timeline of every project in the journal so future clients can see exactly how long each phase tends to take in practice.

Reading the brief

1 — 2 weeks

Two sit-down sessions, a site visit, and a written constraints document. We do not start sketching until we have a written list of what the artefact is not allowed to do. The most expensive errors in our work have always been the ones we skipped this step to avoid.

Concept & envelope

2 — 4 weeks

Two or three competing directions, each developed far enough to be testable. For physical products this means rough CAD and a printed study model; for POS work, a working software skeleton on reference hardware; for stability studies, a written protocol with end-points and decision criteria.

Working prototype

4 — 8 weeks

The phase we are best known for. A single, end-to-end, real-world artefact — not a polished mock, not a marketing render. Clients are expected to use it, break it, and report back. We then revise against actual usage rather than imagined usage.

Validation & burn-in

2 — 12 weeks

Hardware goes into a 30-day thermal and mechanical cycle. POS software runs against synthetic and live transaction logs. Peptide samples are pulled from stability chambers at pre-registered intervals and assayed blind. The output is a signed validation report.

Handover & documentation

1 — 3 weeks

Build log, parts manifest, calibration record, source files, and a half-day of training for the client's internal team. After handover we offer a quarterly maintenance review, but only as an option. We design for independence, not for retainers.
